To live in a community where older people are valued and supported to enjoy a good quality of life and live independently at home.
To enhance the wellbeing, and quality of life for older people in Cumbernauld and the surrounding areas.
The values that make us who we are.
UNITY OF PURPOSE
We are united in a shared responsibility to fulfil our mission.
DIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT
We recognise and celebrate diversity and community spirit and value what they bring to CACE and older people.
We strive to be accountable, professional and cost effective in all we do.
We provide services and support that enhance quality of life.
VALUE OUR PEOPLE
We value our staff and volunteers and seek to offer opportunities to grow professionally and personally.
CACE act as the host organisation for the Locality Consortium; A varied group of members with one common interest – to build a great community through long-term sustainability. Current members include Community Groups, North Lanarkshire Council officers, NHS Lanarkshire staff and Third Sector Organisations.
Consortium offer a wealth of experience, contacts and limited funding to anyone within our community. Are you thinking of starting a group or pilot an idea? Are you an established service within our community that needs some help to expand and develop? Do you have an idea that you think would help our community grow and need connections to be made?
The North Locality Consortium and CACE are working in partnership with NHS Lanarkshire on the Positive Smoke-Free Role Models project which has a particular focus on children, and works towards:
Preventing children and young people becoming the next generation of people who smoke
Protecting children, adults, and pets from the harmful effects of second-hand smoke.
To support and promote these goals throughout Lanarkshire, we’re asking you to take the pledge [https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=a9JS4QBglUu8-8gfGjAcaFcq5f9n-BJKmEp8ZAMSDStURFpVNFBKNUowUUM0QVlWTERHSzJLVUlORS4u] to become a positive smoke-free role model for children and young people.
